Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Evolver, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use our service.

Current Status: Evolver is currently in early access for University of Tulsa students. These terms will evolve as we develop our full platform.

Your Account and Data

Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

Your Data Rights

You retain all rights to your personal data. We are merely custodians who:

• Process your data only to provide our service
• Never sell or monetize your personal information
• Provide you full control over your data (access, export, delete)
• Protect your data with industry-leading security measures

Acceptable Use

What We Encourage

Evolver is designed to help you:

• Organize and optimize your life productively
• Connect with opportunities and communities
• Build healthy, sustainable habits
• Achieve your academic and personal goals

Prohibited Activities

To protect our community, you may not:

• Harm others: Use our service to harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Illegal activities: Use Evolver for any unlawful purposes
• System abuse: Attempt to hack, disrupt, or overload our systems
• Spam or misleading content: Share false information or unsolicited content
• Violate privacy: Access or share other users' private information
• Circumvent security: Bypass our safety or security measures

Service Availability

Current Early Access

During our early access phase:

• Service availability may be limited or interrupted
• Features are subject to change based on user feedback
• We may reset or modify data structures as we develop
• Access is currently limited to University of Tulsa students

Future Service

We aim to provide reliable, continuous service but cannot guarantee 100% uptime. We'll communicate any planned maintenance or significant changes in advance.

Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create or upload to Evolver. By using our service, you grant us only the limited rights necessary to provide our service (storing, processing, and displaying your content back to you).

Our Platform

Evolver's software, design, and underlying technology remain our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our platform.

AI and Automated Processing

Evolver uses AI and machine learning to provide personalized recommendations and insights:

• Transparency: We'll clearly indicate when AI is being used
• Privacy: AI processing follows the same strict privacy standards as all our services
• Human oversight: Critical decisions always include human review options
• Bias prevention: We actively work to identify and eliminate algorithmic bias
• Your control: You can opt out of AI features while still using core functionality

Limitation of Liability

While we work hard to provide a reliable service:

• Evolver is provided "as is" during early access
• We're not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us (currently $0 during early access)
• We recommend backing up important information stored in Evolver

Exception: Nothing in these terms limits our liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or violations of applicable law.

Account Termination

Your Right to Leave

You can delete your account at any time. When you do:

• We'll permanently delete your personal data within 30 days
• You can export your data before deletion
• Some anonymized usage data may be retained for service improvement

Our Right to Suspend

We may suspend accounts that violate these terms, but we'll:

• Provide clear reasons for any suspension
• Offer appeals processes for disputed actions
• Allow data export even for suspended accounts
• Use suspension as a last resort after warnings when possible

Changes to Terms

As Evolver evolves, these terms may need updates:

• We'll notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notifications
• You'll have 30 days to review changes before they take effect
• If you disagree with changes, you can export your data and close your account
• Continued use after the notice period means you accept the updated terms

Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Oklahoma, United States. We encourage resolving any disputes through direct communication first. If formal resolution is needed, we prefer mediation before litigation.
